- What is a CSA?
- CSA, or community-supported agriculture, is a system where customers pre-pay for a weekly share at the beginning of the growing season and in turn, a farmer offers a box of produce to the customer valued at the weekly amount. The produce is harvested fresh each week and will change depending on the season. You, as customers, reap the benefit of a bountiful, quality harvest all season long while supporting the farmer at the beginning of the season to get seeds, supplies, and get planting!

- What if I can’t make the pick up day? What if I’m away for the week?
- Please inform us the week prior if you are unable to make your pickup date for the following week. We are able to hold your box for up to 24 hours for pick up, or you have the option to donate your box to the Lancaster Food Pantry instead. You may designate another person to pick up your box as well.
- What if my family doesn’t like the items in the box? May I substitute an item?
- If you have allergies, please let us know. We try to provide a variety of options in each box and change it each week, however, we appreciate that certain veggies are not for everyone. Please let us know ahead of time, and we’ll try to provide a substitute or you can opt to donate it to the food pantry.
- Will you have recipes or a newsletter?
- We send out an e-newsletter each week ahead of pick up with a list of items for this week’s box and links to recipes. Recipes for seasonal items are on our website. Click on Recipes at the bottom of the homepage or in the menu to search our recipes page. Please ask about how to prepare a new vegetable. I’ll be happy to share preparation tips or recipes.
- May I purchase additional items at the time of pick up?
- As the season becomes more abundant, we offer a la carte items such as flowers, herbs, eggs, and additional vegetables for purchase at the time of pick up. These items will be available on a first come, first served basis.
